New Web Radio Station featuring Music by Tha Native
We have a very cool announcement to make that’s been a long time coming. There’s a brand new Internet radio station that will be featuring music by Tha Native. I say it’s been a long time coming because we have known of this radio station when it was simply an idea. It was mentioned to Tha Native during the early stages of research and development, but now it’s basically live and 24/7; although there hasn’t been an official launch with a fully organized play list yet. At the moment the music database is still being uploaded and edited for mixing and such. We understand it’s a slow process to not just upload hundreds of songs, but to upload only specific songs that are considered good enough to be played on this specific station with it’s specific name; which I’ll explain in just a moment.
But when it comes time for the official launch and we learn what songs by Tha Native will be played, we will make another announcement here. As I was saying, the name of the station was not chosen lightly or by random. The name that was chosen is OTB Hip Hop. Okay, that doesn’t tell you a whole lot. The OTB stands for “Only The Best.” As in Only The Best Hip Hop. As in Only The Best Hip Hop will be played. Of course musical tastes are subjective and so you might not like everything you hear, but please do listen to more than one or two songs and see if they play “mo betta’” hip-hop than your local radio stations that supposedly play the best hip-hop. But, we were insured that MC Hammer will not get any airplay. Are you curious of some of the music that’s getting played right now? Cool, I’ll throw out some artists here:
Notorious BIG, Ghostface Killa, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Mos Def, Nas, Schoolboy Q, Big Sean, Action Bronson, Aesop Rock, Big Pun, Chance The Rapper, Ace Hood, Dead Prez, Fugees
Wu-Tang Clan , Gang Starr, KRS-One, Childish Gambino, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Run The Jewels and many, many more.
And here’s the radio station’s logo.
We understand there will be chances to win free OTB Hip Hop gear after the official launch. They’ve already got some stickers, tees, totes, magnets, and more that has been posted on their Instagram page instagram.com/otb_hip_hop/. There are many ways to listen to OTB Hip Hop and many more on the way after the official launch like apps for iOS (Apple) and Android devices.
One simple way to listen is their website at OTBhiphop.com. Also the Radionomy app for android and iOS depending on what country you are in. You can also listen to the stream on one of your favorite music apps like iTunes by using this MP3 stream: http://listen.radionomy.com/otbhiphop
In iTunes go to “File” then “Open Stream” and then copy the URL in the text box that pops up. If for some reason you need the m3u stream, we don’t know what this all about, but try this https://listen.radionomy.com/otbhiphop.m3u. Also search any other app or radio station directory/hosting website to see if you can find the station because the streams are being added to many different websites all the time. Some are slower to add it than others from what we have been told.
As for Tha Native, he’s trying to make sure his house doesn’t burn down. If you don’t already know, there’s a huge fire near his home in Highland, CA. And to the best of our knowledge, Tha Native is still finishing up some new songs that OTB Hip Hop is very excited to get their hands. We’ll get them the MP3s as soon as they are available. Probably before they can be downloaded from iTunes and other music sites.
Take care everyone and we’ll try to announce the official launch date if possible
